This website describes the repository catalog snapshot, which may contain unreleased entries. It is not a promise that every entry exists in the currently published package. Check `uvx awesome-python-dev list --json` for the catalog available in your installed runtime. GitHub stars and review dates are recorded snapshots, not live rankings.

### Install with the upstream project

This entry is a reference. It has no `apd init` recipe in this catalog snapshot. Follow the [upstream documentation](https://bug-ops.github.io/mcpls/) for installation and configuration.

A native language server is not an MCP server. To add an installable LSP bridge to your coding agent, explore [Serena](https://m9rco.github.io/awesome-python-dev/tools/serena/) .

### Integration notes

Second reference-only LSP bridge next to agent-lsp, and the third bridge entry overall: it is distributed as a Rust binary through cargo install mcpls, an upstream install script, release archives, or a container image, so there is no registry package revision for the installer to pin. It manages several language servers in one session and exposes hover, references, diagnostics, and rename as 31 MCP tools, with stdio and optional HTTP transport; it needs at least one language server installed separately (pyright for Python). Repository metadata, the documentation book, license files, and release v0.8.0 were checked; no server startup or MCP session was run in this pass.
